Ever since he became a university student, Carlos hasn't stopped doing things. He was the mastermind for Tejedores del WEB (WEB spinners), www.tejedoresdelweb.com , an online HTML manual which featured several learning levels and sections for interactive consultation to learn to publish on the Internet. It was installed at the Departamento de Informática y Comunicaciones of Universidad de Chile. Carlos also took part in the online version development of a course to prepare students to take the Chilean version of the Scholastic Aptitude Test. It had automatic correction, and the contents had been supplied by the pre-university course of the students' union at Universidad de Chile. Besides that, Carlos helped in the creation of the Job Center for the union of students of engineering at U. de Chile in 1998.

Some years before, in 1995, Carlos had worked as a development engineer for Tecnonáutica's website, the first company, in Chile, which was completely dedicated to Internet. It was in this organization where Carlos carried out a number of projects in the development of technologies.

But there is more about Carlos. He has also been a teacher with an impressive record. He started as an assistant for the courses on Analysis and Design of Algorithms, as well as in Programming Languages, both course being given at U. de Chile. On top of that, Carlos has been a Professor for Web Applications at the same university.

This engineer has been awarded several prizes in his life as a student, ranging from a third place at the National Physics Olympics in 1989 to the "Ismael Valdés Valdés" award in 2001 which was granted by the Instituto de Ingenieros de Chile.
