This journalist was born in Concepción (south of Chile) from where he migrated to Santiago when he was only 10 years old. Cristian joined our company in September 2003 and rapidly adapted to (and was adopted by) our team... he has spinned a good web of camaraderie and has demonstrated his utter commitment to the challenges we undertake.
CJ is the name by which we call him... he is not the only Cristian over here. He learnt English by himself, and, in May 2002, he became a journalist from Universidad La República, after having written a thesis entitled "Communications Consultancy: A new labor field for journalists"which was done with another of Newtenberg's members, Cristián Salvo.
Our workmate loves music, notably heavy rock, and has worked in different areas of journalism. His career started when he did his internship at Cobre Chileno magazine which was published by the Federación de Trabajadores del Cobre. Unfortunately, he joined them only two months before the magazine was closed down.
Because of that event, the second time he worked as a journalist was again considered as his internship. This time he was a collaborator for La Semana Jurídica newspaper, where he acted as a reporter at the Courts of Justice and wrote articles and special reports for the paper.
Finally, before coming to Newtenberg, Cristian began dealing with technology in a more serious way when he was in charge of preparing, arranging and sending info to the customers of Delta Comunicaciones consultants through the Electronic Clipping News Program which is Internet-based.
